About

Daniel's story.

Daniel grew up in Wrexham, UK, with his sister and single mother, and was one of the first in his family to attend college. After losing his mother to cancer at a young age, he built a life grounded in resilience, service, and community.

Daniel began his career in education and later moved with his wife Sarah from London and Brooklyn to Brattleboro to be closer to family. In Vermont, he worked with young people and built a career in anti-poverty services, helping local families meet basic needs and navigate hard times.

A four-term Brattleboro Selectboard member, Daniel cares deeply about effective local government, strong communities, and a hopeful future for Vermont. He loves biking dirt roads, swimming, live music, creemees, and seeing neighbors around town.

I want to bring a practical, hopeful approach to Montpelier, one that takes problems seriously, values good information, and stays focused on making life better for the people we serve.

What Daniel is fighting for.

Focused on making life better for the people we serve.

Affordability

Too many Vermonters are working hard and still feeling stretched thin. We need state policy that protects the services people rely on without losing sight of what families, workers, and seniors can actually afford. I want Vermont to be a place where young people can build a life, where working people can get ahead, and where economic opportunity is not limited to a lucky few.

Housing

Housing is one of the biggest challenges facing our communities, and we need to treat it with real urgency. Everyone deserves a safe, stable, affordable place to call home. That means stronger protections for renters, more opportunities for homeownership, and a serious commitment to building more housing of all kinds so people can live in the communities where they work, raise families, and belong.

Health Care

Our health care system is failing too many people. Vermonters are paying too much in premiums and deductibles and still struggling to get timely care. We need bold, practical change that lowers costs, improves access, and makes the system easier to navigate. Health care should be built around patients and communities, not bureaucracy and profit.

Safe Communities

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. I believe in investing in public safety, and I also believe safety depends on more than policing alone. Stable housing, mental health care, addiction treatment, and strong community support all matter if we want safer neighborhoods and healthier towns. In a place like Vermont, safety also means making sure people feel they belong and have something to contribute.

Quality of Life

Part of what makes this part of Vermont so special is the quality of life we share. Access to trails, parks, arts, libraries, recreation, and community spaces helps keep us healthy and connected. Supporting our creative economy and the places that bring people together is not an extra. It is part of building communities where people want to stay, participate, and put down roots.
